A Laval restaurant was the site of a suspicious fire early Tuesday.
There were no injuries and little damage caused by the incident, which Laval police say occurred just before 6 a.m.
A passerby alerted authorities after seeing the beginnings of a fire at the Romcafé on Des Laurentides Blvd. just north of St. Martin Blvd. Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly, aided possibly by the building’s sprinkler system. No neighbouring businesses were damaged.
Police at the scene noticed a hole in the restaurant’s window, however no incendiary materiel or accelerants have been found thus far.
Laval police confirmed the same restaurant had been the target of arsonists in June of 2015.
